This web page is a tribute to a special 2002 Delaware Valley
Regional High School graduate who tragically lost his life just
days before receiving his diploma. |
|
Dan Hutchins was an outstanding Wrestler
and Honor student who was accepted to Rutgers University and
was also asked to bring his experience to the schools wrestling
program. |
|
Dan’s parents, brother and family
are deeply saddened by their loss, but also feel it’s
important that Dan’s legacy be used to help others. |
|
For that very reason, Dan’s family
felt that an annual Scholarship Fund for future Del Val graduates
and financial support for the Del Val Wrestling Foundation was
the right thing to do. |
|
The “Daniel R. Hutchins
Scholarship Award” link
will present each year’s recipients. Dan was very excited
and appreciated all of the scholarships that were awarded to
him, so making this available to other students and athletes
would make him very proud. |
|
The “Del
Val Wrestling Foundation” link will help you understand
how this organization supports the Del Val wrestling program.
Thanks to the Foundation and its supporters, for the first time
in the history of the school, the varsity team will wrestle
in the Virginia Duals, which is a huge East Coast event. |
|
The commitment and goals of the Daniel R. Hutchins Memorial
Golf Outing is to raise monies needed for both causes and have
one special day for our community to remember Dan. |
